 purchasing first fourstroke help i am wanting to buy an 03 crf 450 with about 30 hours on it. trail ridding only. i have never owned a fourstroke racing and just curious what are some major things to look for and ask. also how often do valves go out and how much is to fix any info would be helpful want to move off my cr 125  |

| I just bought a 04 myself and as far as valves go here in canada its looking like it would cost me just shy of 500 bucks to get it all fixed right if i needed to. Thats kibble white valves and springs. I would pretty much look for the same things basically that you would look for in a two stroke. Bearings and such and maybe a compression test. If the guy will let you tho i would take the head off and check those clearances unless you have no quams with replacing those things. |
