Non running 72 Honda sl70 wiring problem?

I have a 1972 Honda SL70 that Im trying to get up and running and then restore. First off wiring is hooked up to ignition and on/off switch on handlebars and then to coil etc but I have no spark. Some wires have been cut. Bike is missing headlight,tailight. I was wondering cause I heard that these bikes take a battery and if this may be my spark problem? If anyone can help me with this Id appreciate it. Also if anyone has pictures or a place I can get pictures so I know exactly how all this wiring should look and where everything goes that would be awesome. Bike turns over easy and I think would fire right up if it had spark. Please any help would be great.

I know this might sound crazy. But take it to the dealer. It's absolutely worth it. Since you don't know what the problem, but you presume it's electrical, that narrows it down. But they will find the problem right away, and sell you the parts to fix it yourself if you don't want to pay them to fix it. But if it's a sator or something like that. just have them fix it. Then it's done. Your time has value. Don't wast a bunch of it.
