Just added another to the collection!

Hello all, I finally talked my buddy into selling this to me!


I got it for 850. with an extra set of rims and worn out knobbies. It only has 5569 miles on it. I can already think of a few Mods to do right of the bat! what kills me is it's snowing and really cold here in Cincinnati, and I want to ride my new toy! Oh well?!

I have an original red one. the tag on the frame is "82". under 4000 on it. you guys will love this: it of course had the twin carb setup. the owner took it to a shop who told him it needed an entire rebuild because it wouldnt start good when hot. LOL like that is something unusual for a big 4 stroke. I looked at it, got it started,,warmed it up,,it ran like crap. shut it off,,and gas boiled out of the carb with the float bowl.

with valves set, and the float set it worked really good. I have less than 400 in this one,,and he had already purchased a new oversized piston for it, a manual, and gaskets. the manual convinced him it was too much of a job for him. A like new Cobra pipe is on it too. I have some forks off of an 87 cr that I am going to put on it like my XR250 now has.

The old girl looks just like new.
