gripe Hot start plunger stuck.

Need help with this one. My hot start plunder is stuck in my carburetor. My bike is a 2008 Honda CRF450r and I did not ride it in a while and when I did I and went to use the hot start it was frozen. So does any one know how I can free it up and get it to work?

Default Re: Hot start plunger stuck.

Just take it out and spray it with some penetrol, a bit of moisture may have got in there.

gripe Re: Hot start plunger stuck.

PJG,
The problem is. It won't come out of the carburetor because the plunger is oxidized in there. So that is what I need to know how to get that end out of the carb.

Red face Re: Hot start plunger stuck.

Just got it fixed!! Disconnected the Carb from the boots and got a better angle at the hot start cable and pulled it until it came out. Looks like it had some dirt lodged in it and that was what was freezing it up. Cleaned it up and put every thing back 2gether. One kick fired right up. Works fine now.
