Well with some help from RogueRider I got the drain plug loose on the XR, muffler mounting bracket fixed on my PW80, and while we were chatting we realized there were a host of other small issues on the XR that have been addressed now. Still doesn't want to run, but it will backfire on occasion so it's got to be relatively close.

Guess I never updated this thread... oops. The issue with the bike not wanting to start ended up being a missing decompression spring and plunger in the head, about $15 worth of parts. Once I had them in place the bike started up on the first kick and seems to run really well. Hoping to clean up (aka, scrap and start over) the dual sport wiring and use it for a commuter once the weather warms back up.

You really do have a sickness. Glad you got it running though, that's awesome.

I think there are only 12 bikes in the shop... plus a mini quad, a KTM I'm fostering and one parts bike.
