Default Engine Ice worth the money?

hey guys i was just wondering if running engine ice would be worth running in my crf 450, i do mostly dune riding and ride all year long. i wasnt sure of the freezing temp of the engine ice, so does anyone know around what temp that is?

And also, i do a lot of sand riding, and lately ive had small amounts of coolant leaking out of my over flow, i've checked it after each ride and it doesnt leak enough to even have to refill after several rides. i'm guessing the coolant is just getting to hot and coming out of the overflow, so i was thinking of switching over to engine ice since it's supposed to run cooler. is this true and is it noticeable at all? because i'm riding in the sand all day long in 90-100 degree temps. I don't want to waste my money on something thats $40/gallon that won't even help me much more over regular coolant.

also how many oz. would the '03 crf 450 take? any idea? thanks guys!

Freeze protection to -26 deg F.
Your manual will give you the capicity for the required coolant but I'm pretty sure it's less than 1/2 gallon.
Doesn't sound like you have a big problem but you can go to a higher pressure rating on your Radiator cap.

I have used Engine Ice since 04.

Do a search on this site and you can get a bunch of info.

I've always ran it in my 450's and have had really good results and no overheats. It seems to be easier of the water pump seals as well.
~ Good Luck ~

it is spendy, but I have enjoyed it for quite a few years myself. I had good results in my CRF450.

I used it on my RM250 and I would have to say that it was worth the money, no overheats or anything.
