Default CRF450 Farme question

I have a CRF450R '04 frame and I want to move CRF450X's engine to the frame, does it work?

What year is the X motor? And that's a tough question. I don't know anyone that's done it.

If the engine is a 2004, I'm almost certain it will fit. But to tell you the truth, I'm not even certain they offered the 450X in '04. The 250 was out but not sure about the 450. I think it came out in '05.

I remember reading that the engine was set differently in the '05's for a lower center of gravity. I doubt it would work. Wish I could tell you for certain.
Check here. These guys know their CRF's.
