No, my wife rides it. She used to ride an 88 CR250. I bought her the 230 last year and obviously you know the power range is quite different. I need to pick it up. I bought a BBR pipe and a W.B. air filter. I have not installed them yet. I'm hoping the pipe will open it up alot. The odd thing is BBR sent me a 110 main but said to only use it in a 150. They said to run the stock main. I know and she knows the 230 will never be like the 250 but I would like to get it close.

Good luck. Go larger on the back sprocket and it will gear it down, and give you better take off.

I agree with woody. Go bigger in the rear, or smaller up front.

I know what I could have done, but I chose the 230 for a number of reasons. I'm just looking for some HELPFUL suggestions. Hey thanks Woody!

| I'll do ya one better! I'll fully explain the Sidewinder conversion for ya! It is really a no-brainer to do teh conversion on the 230. Why? Listen up. Right now your running the stock 520 set. No problem, except there is really no reason at all to run that beefy drive system on that bike unless you need the "beef" because the parts are weak. The Sidewinder set is awesome! Whether racing or not. You will gain quicker throttle response, loose unsrpung weight, put less stress on your drive system (and hence your engine will thank you!) and save tons of money in the long run. Here is the details on the setup. Ti-Moly Rear sprocket (428 pitch), Ti-Moly front sprocket (428 again) and our Ti-Series 428 chain (rated at 8,500 pounds of tensile strength! I challenge you to find another 428 rated that high). The fact is because our Ti-Moly setup is so strong and durable you can drop down to 428 without loosing any durability or life. Matter of fact.. the Sidewinder 428 conversion is actually stronger and longer lasting then if you were to go out and but a 520 set to replace the stock one that came with the bike. If you have any questions or just wanna fire back at me about the set reply here, shoot me a PM or an email. Tony Sr. Tech. Analyst Sidewinder Sprockets and Chains.
