from what I have read, kibblewhite is the only choice. Also the folks I've talked with say they no longer have valve problems after switching. I know I will be swapping to the here real soon. IMHO if you adjust your shims on a crf250r/450r...yzf also, its time for them. I don't want to be adjusting my vlavles every 3 months. I hope this helps you some.

I do not know either, but when I did mine on my '03, I went with RHC, who uses Ferra (I think that's it). If I was doing it again, I'd go that route again. Search for Ron Hamp Cycle and see what you find. You can call and talk to him. he is a very nice man.

Kibble White or any other valve manufacturer is not the answer. The stock valve springs become fatigued too quickly. If you buy a kit and do it yourself, make absolutely certain the springs are much stronger than stock. I had Pro Circuit rebuild my top end on my '04 and I haven't even reshimmed it yet. WAY over 100 hours on it. Probably closer to 200. I ride or race every weekend unless I'm recovering from injury. Granted, you are asking about a 450 and I ride a 250. Just sharing my personal experience and what Mitch Payton had to say.

I had Eric Gorr do my 03 450r with kibblewhite valves. That was very wise investment, I never had trouble with that bike starting after that. I know it ran better. I dont know if I will need to do my 250x yet, havent rode it enough to adjust valves yet. When they where checked last they where fine.

Kibblewhite Black diamond valves with their heavy duty spring kit. It will run you about 6 bill like Jedi said but it is absolutely the best money you can spend on your bike. You'll make one adjustment after 2 hrs of ride time and never again. I love mine and wouldn't do anything else. Unless I wanted to blow a grand on a Exceldyne Full Ti set up.

I guess nobody used the kit that rocky mountain sells for $175.00 that gives U every thing U need to replace the stock valves. The valves in the kit are stainless steel. Faction MX Intake valve Kit. I guess I might have to give them a try. Hope it is not a mistake!

Id save up a little more and get the good stuff. That way you wont have to be redoing it again. Do it once and do it right and move on to something else.

The stuff that costs $600. If I were looking to solidify my top end, I wouldn't post a thread on an Internet forum. I'd get on the phone with the wisest people in the industry. I made several calls and took some advice from Mainjet. Best advice I ever listened to. Check this link and make a call. The number is listed top left.[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] At the very least, talk to your local mechanic and ask every question you can think of.
