| Hey i got a new CRF 250R about a year ago and im still getting used to the maitenance and stuff. Iv tried checking the transmission oil many times by following the manual but it never works. I start the bike and let it warm up for 3 mins, let it settle for 3 mins, take off the cap and unscrew the check bolt. usually, no oil comes out, so i add a little bit. once it starts coming out, it wont stop. just keeps flowing. im wondering if im doing something wrong. if anyone can help me that would be great. THANKS. |

| When I had my CRF450, I didn't bother with the check bolt. I measured the amount of oil it was supposed to take with a ratio rite, poured it in and called it good. That method you are using caused me a head ache once, and I never did it again. |
