Default 85 XR200r blowin smoke.

My buddy has 2 bikes that need to topends and probably the pistons with rings and all the other stuff to. I've searched and can't seem to find new heads or pistons anywhere. What should he do in order to keep these bikes running and now blow blue smoke like a 2 stroke?

Can't find parts anywhere, I called a couple of internet company's and they can't help either, local Honda shops are clueless. I don't want to junk the bike because I can't find parts for the engine. Are they're any options for my problem? And no I don't want to buy a new bike if I don't have to!

bike bandit still shows rings and crank parts, valve seals etc. you may have to be more creative. they shared alot with the short stroke 250. I would start checking pin size and height. Try los angeles sleeve company too, they can tell you lots of that, and they may have a piston you can use.

I guess that's the best bet to run the engine is to sleeve it and upgrade in piston size. So all I'd ever have to do is re-sleeve and get new pistons for the rest of the life of the bike.

how long you think this one is going to live? lol, they probably have something you can bore your present cylinder to. have you see the liner on a 4 valve 200?

Are you troubleshooting a 2 valve, or 4 valve engine here Andy? I would think there should be tons of stuff for the 2 valve....

85 was a four valve. More in common with the XR 250.
