Moto 4 stoke newbie help wanted

hi all iv bought a cfr 450 year 2004 the bike starts 1st or 2nd kick when cold or hot every time no probs but iv stalled the bike and dropped it on 3 occasions and when i try to kick it the kick start is jammed solid ,the only way to start it is by putting it in gear and rocking the bike back and forth put it in neutral and all is ok is this normal as its my 1st 4 stroke thanks

hmm, that's a little odd. I have had one experience with something like that, but not more than one. I don't remember the specifics about why it did it, but I know I was a little nervous.

I'm not sure why it happened though, and I'm not sure on your bike either.

You try bumping the hot start? or it could be the valves may need adjustment? Its not normal or least i haven't had that problem with my 06.

Good luck and hope you get it figured out it sucks having to kick and kick and kick by the time it starts you need a nap and oxygen!!!
