 2006 Honda XR650L My Honda XR650L just blew up in Canada. I would like some advice on what to do when rebuilding her. Do I hop her up a little or just get factory parts and put her back to stock. I ride Alot of dirt roads and do take long trips. As I just rode to Canada from Kansas. Thanks for your help Ace Thumper Pilot  |

He would also say that bike has a bunch of power when tuned correctly for your requirements, so why do you need more power? | Hey thanks for the advice. And Happy Trails Tim The more I talk to people they think it is a hole in the piston. I am bringing a sewer camera home thursday to scope it without taking it apart. ATP |

| It is burnt exhaust valves. They told me $1000.00 to do a pistion and rings plus a valve job. |

| Oh, the valves.. Well, if it were me, I'd probably build 'er back up with a COUPLE of mods. But it definitely will affect your reliability, the significance of which depending on which mods you choose. If you're planning on keeping this bike for several years, I'd leave it stock. |
