Default 2006 CRF250r Clutch Problems

We Own a 2006 CRF250r and the clutch works fine, goes into gear and stuff, but when we pull the clutch in whilst in motion the bike doesnt come to a hault, it just keeps going!! its kind of hard to explain so i hope you understand what i mean.
anyone know what this could be.
the clutch clearly works as when we stop it doesnt stall. its just we feel it might not be engaging,

From what you're describing, is usually a clutch out of adjustment (lever too loose) or a heavily notched clutch basket. But if that's the case you shoud notice that when you shift into gear with the clutch lever held in, the bike will try to creep forward or the engine will stall. When you say you pull in the clutch and the bikes keeps going, do you think you're just coasting, or will the bike truly keep going? Next time out try pulling in the clutch while riding. Then when you feel like it's still going, try and accelerate a little and see if you can feel the bike respond to the throttle.

I had the same thing happent to me recently, I thought I just needed a new clutch because adjusting it wasn't working, when I took the cover off the inner clutch hub was broken, so if adjusting it doesn't work take a look at whats happening inside.
