Default 06 crf noises

i got a 2006 crf and i had it rebuilt just before last winter and it has about 7 hours of like soft riding, done alot of ramp riding and little track, broke my back in january so nothing too harsh. But there is this loud knocking noise iun my motor, and just keeps getting louder, so i think its the valves but im gunna rip apart the top end and see, any suggestions?

Dang. I can't offer much. Just pull the head cover off and check the valve clearance before you go too far.

I've rebuilt my engine twice and never heard a knocking noise. The CRF's make some noise but not like you're describing. I'm clueless.

No affense bro but this is exacty why I dont like hondas, but thats just me.What you want to do is replace the connecting rod and while your in there replace the crank bearings if you can.If you dont know how to rebuild your bottom end and dont want to run into any problems, and know that it was done right, then it would be easy to just take it to a good engine builder or your local dealer and have them do it for you. Here is the part you need:

Hope this helps

I would rebuil it with some mods to like:
CP race piston

Ported head:

hotrod crank:

Boyesen super cooler:

QS2:

and make sure your jetting is correct. This will make you a new super fast motor to scare all your buddies from riding it youl poabably get a good 40 HP and more if you put a good pipe on it and jet it

You will also need a gasket set and maybe a new cutch to put it to the ground

EDIT:another option to get that kind of power is:

The amount of engine work required to get anywhere close to 40 hp is so excessive and in depth that a list of required mods would be staggering.

them damn ktm's,cant ever get them running right I agree, any motor will die if not taken care of.But the first ktm just needed a valve adjustment, very easy on that rfs tappet style motor.try and find a vid of a sx-f knocking. Not that hard to get 40HP out of a 250f,The crowerpower kit will get 38 alone. The ktm can get 41 with the Crower kit, which only consists of a piston and cam.BUT it must be jetted correctly to get max HP.Not impossible nor very expensive

41 HORSEPOWER!!That with a pipe and ported head and my little thumper will be perfect

As for the 640 adventure, they ALL sound like that:
