| I just read that alot of people are updating their 02-03 CRF450's to the 04' Cam chain tensioner. Apparently (and there were alot of CRF owners confirming this) the 02-03 tensioner has a tendency to "back off" and loose tension. The CRF has a "screw "type tensioner and not a "ratchet"?? Obviously if this happens the chain jumps time and the piston and valves collide....this can be disasterous. I suggest maybe you guys look into this. |

| Thanks Satch, I've read the same thing. The tensioner is about $30 I think from service honda. If you don't want to replace it, you can shim it, but I won't go into that. |
