Default Oberg Throttle Tubes

This is a great product for those looking to replace their cheap plastic ones. It contains an internal bearing/bushing and another bearing at the bar end. the only negative is if you run hand guards then a special piece has to be ordered from them. It is smoooooooth!

I almost got one of these myself, instead opted for a Works Connection. After reading this I wish I had bought one of these instead. I have an Oberg Triple clamp and love their products quality workmanship. Their stuff IS spendy but it's also some purty eye candy, very trick looking stuff.

You guys still happy with these throttle tubes??I'm thinking of getting the twister and the insert for my handguards.I run the fastway fit handguards and they bring some vibration into the bars.I would love to squash it and this setup looks nice.

I see this is a old thread so give me an update.Still happy?

How did you install the tube without cutting the end off?

With the vibration dampners. The throttle tube has a hole in it the bolt goes through into the damper which has a cinch fitting. The piece of metal the handguard is mounted to has a oring on it to keep out the junk. It is pricey as it cost me bout $130 to my door. But since i have the fastway fit handguards it brought all the vibration back into the bars. So now i can get rid of that nasty vibration.

You would need the whole setup but it will work with any handguard. They aren't made for a certaind handguard just the bike.

If ya have money to burn get them otherwise wait till you do or as a christmas present.

I'm thinking my next mod will be a coil on plug setup- I almost had one the other day for $20, but Satch0922 stole it out from under me

This tube sounds nice. I went with the w/c after busting my plastic one. It is strong as heck, and has held up for the month or so it has been on there. The downside is it still has some "jiggle" left in it.

Definitely gotta look into this Oberg one somehwhere down the road.
