wow, i didn't know how many people cared that KTM IS BETTER. just joking. husky have SOME trick parts, but read any review and it'll say that the stock bars and rims are highly subjectable to breakage.(as in that they are weak in stock form).if you guys can remember, husky used to have a race team with tyler evans and steve lamson. now if i'm remembering corectly, their bikes kept breaking down, so they pulled out of the states. also, all the magazines say that the tc 450 is sluggish and heavy. with that being said, KTMs ARE BETTER

They are both great, I've found husqvarna's to be a bit easier to work on (esp the big thumpers), smoother and in general more reliable. The KTM offers more models and depending on what kind of riding you do and your prefferences may have one that's much closer to perfect in stock form for you than anyone else. As for bars and rims, the only bike I've heard of rim problems on are the big KTM dual sports. The husqvarna's that I've seen have all had very nice Excel rims and most come with pro-taper type bars. Both top shelf items FYI Husqvarna is owned by cagiva which is based in Italy.

thanks for pointing that out. i didn't know all that. seriously. but, being a diehard ktm fan, i'd have to pick a ktm. by the way, i'm only 13, so i haven't worked on bikes like many of you have. and..., in canada, the only place i've seen a husky is at the Toronto motorcycle show, i think...

I dont know. I've had Japanese Two strokes all of my riding "career" and I have ridden a KTM 4 stroke, but can honestly say that if I had $6500, I would likely get a Husky, If nothing else, to be different. Just about every machine out there can be made competitive through proper parts and tuning, and knowing how to ride. Point being, Who really cares what you ride, just be happy to be riding

Husky's are cool, but if every body had one then you wouldnt like it because you would'nt be different anymore. Back in the day they were better for the high speed grand prix style tracks. Known for their high speed stability but not much on turning. One of my oldest riding buddies raced a 390 auto. and he was unbeatable, but it was mostly the rider not the bike.

| Again, It's all about what you like in a bike. Many people that buy "exotics" do so because they want to be different. If you want to be faster.... ride more! "its all about the rider" Check out Daniel Martin on a modified klx110 competing against 125 2-strokes and 250f's in Arenacross. Not the fastest bike, or the best components, just a fast rider. | tell that to the riders I passed on my KTM(s) in reality, KTM has always been competetive. Husky, not so. |

You can't say that KTM was 'always' competitive and that Husqvarna was not. It's true that husky has been in and out of the market and racing scene but I would say the same for KTM. Husyk was huge in the late 60's and through the 70's, but less in the late 80's and 90's. KTM's prior to the mid 90's weren't very good in my opinion but have grown in quality and popularity since. Btw this is my first post..

[quote=Huskyrider146;388872]i rode my friends 2004 125sx and knew that that was the right sixe for me.. i have a 2004 cr125 and it blew the ktm away by far... QUOTE] Can you explain what you didnt like about the sx? Im looking at an 03 right now, so what specifically did you not like about it?

The honda must have been modded, stock the ktm 125sx has more power then any 125.Thats why it has survived the 2stroke death, the cr didnt.Hemi your looking at an 03,they are solid bikes but the suspension isnt as good as the newer bikes.Try and find like an 04 or 05,but not an 06 because I heard some bad stuff about the motor detonating.
