expansion chaimber

This is a discussion on expansion chaimber within the 2-Stroke Motorcycles - Exotic forum, part of the 2-Stroke Motorcycle Forums category; my expansion chaimber sits very high on my cr125.... it touches the raidiadar shroud...... at the place where it conects ...

Default expansion chaimber

my expansion chaimber sits very high on my cr125.... it touches the raidiadar shroud...... at the place where it conects to the end of the pipe and to the muffler it leaks oil that should be going out the pipe.... im preety sure this shouldent be happening... does anyone have an idea what i should do....

Well, we had a thread not long ago on this. Is it only leaking out of the muffler and the connection of the muffler to the exhaust? Or is it leaking out of the head too?
If it is just leaking out of the muffler and connection, you have to rejet. Don't change your mixture unless you are running something stupid like 10:1(what are you running right now BTW?). Make sure your air filter is clean then you have to rejet. If you need help rejetting, just tell and we will help you.

Oh, and make sure that your pipe is connected correctly. It shouldn't be touching a shroud because the expansion chamber gets hot and could melt it.....quickly loosen the bolts and jam the pipe in a little more if possible.
