2000 TE410 Wiring

So I purchased this bike less than a week ago. Have not been able to take it out due to winter/cold weather. I am just in the process of installing the headlight (attached, but not wired). Here is my problem. I warn you I am electrically retarded.

The wires coming from the headlight itself are black and red. There are black and red hook ups that go through the tunnel and seem like they hooked up to the tail light that used to be there.

Problem, the wiring diagram in the manual depicts a black wire and a yellow wire coming from the headlight. The black is shown to go to the ignition coil, and the yellow wire goes to the alternator (unsure of its location) with the volt regulator inline of the yellow path from the light to the alternator.

This is a weird topic that I don't really expect any great help on, but hey if someone knows their huskys and/or wiring, could you help me out? Thanks
