| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just spent the last 10 Days in Southern Utah. We Stayed on Beaver Mountain at 10,000ft. I have to say this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. If you like to ride Quads, or dirt bikes there is not a more fun place than this. Hundreds of miles of trails. I would recommend Utility type 4x4 quads over the sport quads though. We had a banshee and a 660 Raptor in our camp with us and they just could not keep up on the steep, rocky and techinical sections of the Piute trails. They were spending most of there time trying to manueuver around obsticals (rocks, roots etc) instead of just going over them. 4x4 quads have way better ground clearace since they are generally shaft or belt driven instead of chain driven. Anyways the Piute trail system is incredible. Tight single track, Switchbacks, river crossings you name it its there. We slept 10 people in our toyhauler one of the nights. If you are wanting a great summer trip I highly recommend this trip. Temps were anywhere from 42 degrees to low 70s. Great fishing for the kids also. We saw tons of Deer and Elk. More elk though. We had 2 huge 5 point bull ELK withing 1/2 mile of camp that we would spotlight ever night. Anyways sorry to bore you with the details but I am going to have to make this an annual family trip if not more than once a year. I would really like to go again in late Aug early Sept. I wish I would have taken more photo's though.
