I used to work out at a gym but found it harder and harder to motivate myself to go all the time so I dropped my membership. ow I go to the local park and jog around that and do crunches, pushups and some wight lifting at home.

When and If I workout (emphasis again on when and if), I work out at home. I've got Olympic free weights and pretty much everything I need, except a recumbent bike (which I really want).

That's exactly why I try and stay out of there when I go to the gym. I mean, how hard is it to put a towel on? But nooooooo these guys gotta be hanging out for all the world to see. ugh

In Germany they have co-ed locker rooms. Now that's another story

At home of course, i have heard the horror stories of the older men walkin around all naked. I really don't think that that is motivating!!!! I can see why people drop memberships!!

I would be scarred for life if i seen 10 wrinkly men walking around naked and trying to hold a conversation with you.

I do my running outside and for the lifting I go to the gym. Lucky for me I haven't encountered some naked old men. A few nice looking girls from time to time I did, not naked offcourse, bummer

i voted gym, but i actually go to the local recreation center. it's about 7 blocks from me. it is only $30.00/year and has everything you need. there are very few people there. Mostly free weights, and a fre old universal machines. they do have a smith machine, a butterfly machine, and an inverted leg press machine. but mostly free weights and benches.
i'm going to be a sexy beast by GMB III.

I jog on the treadmill and do some weights on my bowflex and with some free weights when I feel motivated. But, I'm usually pretty good about the jogging.

I used to work out at the gym, but it just got so crowded and I can't stand waiting around to use a machine (especially when the people using it seem to just be socializing).

I'm going to try and start back up lifting weights 3 Xs a week with my jogging. That should get me ready to kick some a** at Mequite

i picked other

I do all of my non-riding working out at home. We have a treadmill, stationary bike, and a universal weight machine, plus a pull up bar.

Another thing that bugs me about the gym is women who wear a ton of makeup and perfume to go workout. That's annoying if I can smell you from across the room (funky people who need a shower are just as bad) And people who just sit on a machine and rest in between sets and don't want to let you work in and people who seem to just go there to socialize. And it REALLY sucks when you forget your discman and you have to listen to something like the backstreet boys or some other junk over the club system. ***shudders*** how can anyone be expected to work out to that girly music??? :

I know what you mean Napalm, the radio in gym isn't the best. What do make up for me is in the evening there are lessons to take for women. Maybe you've heard of Taibo, it's a kind of aerobic with some kickboxing influences, the women love it. Well this kind off lessons they'll give in the evening and to see all those women working out, well it makes me feel like I can keep running, rowing, or whatever I'm doing forever. It's just quite a view!!!
