O HECK YEA!!! I tried to keep up with my early morning PT days.... but turned into HO (hang over) days LOL But yea, over working is a bad deal to get into.... The PT days are where i need to get into again. Im over 200#'s and need to loose from 15-30#'s in a hurry!!! I started today with a cold cut sub... nothin but the meat, veggies, and a bit of vinegar(sp). NO salt, NO mayo, NO mut-tard.... none of that crap... Only thing i have and issue with is the weight. As far as cardio goes, After a year off i am accually in good shape!!! First ride today got the arm pump though... so I need to do more curls, PU's, and wrist rolls.... I was pretty impressed LOL

The Subway Diet! I just got my new bike and haven't rode it yet, but Im sure I will get the dreaded arm pump again. Riding alone will get you into good shape though, just pound hard laps at a track.

Hey here is a site I found that is giving away a free ebook, "Strength Training For Motocross Racers." you have to give your first name and email and they send it to you. I did it and got the book right away and its a good one. Here is the link, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

My Diet: MEAT WHEN my MOM serves it for dinner. some healthy stuff. 3-5 big cups of water a day sometimes more.

Workout: Some minor weight training at school to get some muscle on my arms. Riding like the wind and harder trails than i can handle so i have to muscle the bike around a butt load. Some running. lol not in shape near enough so riding bicycle is better.

Stevo,

Where did you work out with the p90x, garage, living room?

I have been interested in the system but I don’t have a lot of room. I'm a fairly new bachelor in a one-bedroom apartment with a one car garage filled with motorcycles.

Default p90x

You do need a little room Val. I currently have a small basement that I use. Its about 12x12 and with the power tower and the tv in the room it is just barely big enough. The great thing about the program is the versitility. It can be adapted to alot of different senarios. I will be moving into a small condo myself soon and will be facing the same situation....cause the garage is full.....lol. Im sure between the 2 of us we can come up with a few ideas that will work.

For workout, I ride my butt off and work out on my Horizon FS50. As for diet, it's Snickers and Mountain Dew.....breakfast of champions.

Well I did decide to try some CEE, and it seems to work. I thought before it was all mental, but I definitely have more energy and can push harder with it. Got 275 up today, so I was happy. I wasn't sure a 36 year old guy could expect much, but so far working out has made me noticeably stronger.

But the best part of my my workout today..... it's the day before the Glen Helen race (can't go, daughter has all star softball all weekend). And who asks if he can use the station next to me? RV!!
I couldn't freakin' believe it was him at first. And just last night I was reading about his changing trainers in RacerX. He isn't the skinny kid I remember from the '05 Glen Helen race. I said 'Hi' and told him I have seen many of his races, then just left him alone. The benefits of living in Murrieta I guess.

I'll be 41 in 8 days and I'm real close to 400, so yes, you can expect it at your age. You just have to work at it. CEE, is good stuff, but not all CEE is equal if you know what I mean.

sorry, can't help you much on this one. i'm 17 and trying to build muscle/gain weight. i weight train everyday and had the body i wanted this spring, but did not work out all this summer and lost it. i got there by eating till i was sick, then ate some more haha- i ate very healthily though. (i went from 143 pds to 162 before dropping to a consistent 158, with less than or close to 10%BF, was very strict with diet and training, and this was all in about 2 months) i though it was hard for me to gain weight, but guess i'm lucky i gain good weight, based on all the comments i would regularily get:P, as well as the comments from my parents about being such a muscle head. my girlfriend at the time(ex now) was not happy though, as she figured working out (and my car) came before her. i'm just getting started weight training again and god am i sore, getting started i find the worst soreness-wise, but it definitely pays off!

I went through the same thing when I was your age. Here's some advice...
I'm not a trainer, but I used be very serious about lifting weights. If you are really sore, you are OVER-trained. If you work out so hard that it takes 3 or 4 days for your body to recover, your routine is hindering your progress. Also, instead of isolation exercises, focus on compound movements like bench press, squats, deadlifts, military press, pull ups or machine pull downs, bent rows or machine rows, etc... By doing compound movements you will gain a lot more strength. Don't waste your time doing exercises for individual muscles because you dont need to. Analyze the compound movements. For example, bench covers pectorals, anterior delts, and triceps not to mention the other muscles required to stabilize the movement. Also, be careful not to lift too much or use sloppy form. Use moderate weight and strict form for your strength. Dont EGO lift. Spend no more than 1 hour in the gym per workout. Thats plenty of time to get some cardio and hit a few major muscle groups. Be careful with your shoulders! Don't do any behind the neck presses. Always use a normal width grip, not really wide or narrow. Talk to a certified trainer. You see a lot of guys who are HUGE and they will LIE about how they got that way. We are all limited by our genetics. Would you rather look like a body builder or be able to perform like a gymnast? Show or go? Sure, bodybuilders are strong but they can't do much with all that mass. And, whats the price for all that size? Just a few things to think about. Good luck.

as soon as i get into it, i am never sore, i'm just mentioning getting back into it is where i feel it the most afterwards. i do compound movements, but isolate as well, for ex. i generally do chest shoulders tris in the same day, starting with bench as it uses all 3. i start with the biggest muscle group and work to the smallest, and my workouts are limited to an hour max because of classes. i'm not one for all show or all go, like i said, i had my body the way i liked it this spring. i used to be a gymnast when i was younger, and went into gymnastics because i wanted to be able to do a backflip on a snowboard and now, it's too easy, i find it much easier than spins. i was just the way i wanted to be, lean, not too big, not to small, the ladies loved me for it(got me in some tough situations but eh), and when people would guess my weight or hear my weight, they tell me they say i look much heavier than i am. don't mean to argue, but this is my rebuttle(?not sure on spelling.) i'm the type of person to look very deeply into things and research before doing anything. weight lifting/nutrition and cars are 2 of my biggest interests, so if someone gets me talking about either, i tend to ramble haha. and now it looks like i got a third big interest, my bike!
