For good health and well being: I try to eat nothing but high protein, high in carbohydrate foods. I dont worry too much about the calories as I wanna' gain weight anyway, not lose it. Breakfast: I make this the biggest meal of the day. Usually, a big bowl of cereal, 2 bananas, and toast. Multi vitamins! and an energy/protein shake. Brunch: The biggest sandwich possible. Wholemeal bread. Lunch: Another 2 bananas, and another small sandwich, or a jacket potato maybe, or pasta. Dinner: Whatever Mom puts out on the table. it's usually all good ..and Supper: I have a small snack, along with another energy/protein shake before bed time. I use Cyclone or Promax, from Maximuscle. For muscle, strength and fitness: I lift weights three days per week, Mon, Wed, Fri. I try to do around half an hour of cardio every day on my mountain bike. I do this before lifting weights, as it's a great warm-up. and I do an abs workout every day. ..I ride on weekends. TRXman, I think if you combine a good daily cardio workout with a healthy diet, you can't fail. You'll lose weight and get much fitter, depending on how serious you are, some people give up before they even get anywhere. Also you should buy some energy drinks to help boost your performance. Creatine... Or just Lucozade is good I suppose. Also, try to cut down on the Beer. Last edited by Deano249f; 04-01-2006 at 08:58 AM.

Here is my work out regime 8oz both arms twice daily Occaisonly I will jump up out of my recliner Most times I get up gradually Stretching the Gluts and Hams I will walk at a fast Pace to the Refer to get another 8oz Sometimes I run to the Bathroom when I am done exercising my bladder with too many 8oz (This is Training for Hare SCrambles) The trick is to wait between commercials Outside of that my Cardio is walking up and back down the stairs once a day after a 8 hour rest. So another words I go up for bed then down the net morning, This simulates deep space exercise the atsronauts use. Yup, I am a regular Arnold

I'm a fat lazy schmuck so I don't do much. I've been trying to cut back on unhealthy foods and downsizing my portions. Everyday now I've been going for a bike ride which includes a very long, strenuous uphill climb. I'm trying to drop the pounds and keep my legs in the sexy condition they are currently in

We (the wife and I) do 20 minutes cardio followed by 40 minutes of weights (general overall body) 3 times a week (Mon,Wed and Friday). Try to stay away from sweets and too much beer, but not draconian. Have lost 15 pounds since Oct and no more back and knee pains

Not much for me except xc practice, 3-6 miles a day. Along with "warm-ups" yeh right, 200 push ups and 200 set ups. Dieting, well drink water a week before the race and try to refrain from drinking coffee race morning when I've only had three hours of sleep. Food, well I don't really care unless it's race day

HI all I am really new to this site and this is my first post. I was lurking around and saw this subject and thought, ahhh haaa this is right up my alley! I would be careful with the "fruit and veggie" diet especially for a man. You men need lots and lots of protein especially if you are working out. you should be getting around 120 grams or more of protein a day. there are calculations for this but I am not sure of the way to figure it out right off the top of my head. Muscle burns fat, so if you are working out and building muscle you will burn fat! You want to eat lean proteins like fish and chicken. and supplement with protein shakes. I have found one from cosco that comes already mixed it is called "premier protein" it has 30 grams of protein and 160 cals. low carbs and they are pretty good. they also have bars too. I work out about 2-21/2 hours a day. I do cardio at least 5 miles a day and then weights 2 times a week, yoga, and cardio salsa. I was doing weights 3 times a week and I may start doing that again. If you don't eat enough you will get really tired and you will binge eat. I have gone on so many starvation diets it is sickening to think about it! I have done apples all day "boy that will clean you out!" but I am sick of those starvation diets, so now I just try to keep a balance and do alot of protein. I didn't read all the posts in this thread so may apologies if this is all repeat info. I Just saw the thread and got jazzed cuz this is right up my alley!
