Went to the Doc today

Saturday will be 2 months from my back surgery. All went well, no more pain shooting down my leg and the numbness in my toes is gradually fading..YAY!!! My back is still a little soar but nothing like before. Two weeks ago the Doc gave me the all clear to do what ever I wanted and he refered my to another doctor for my knee.

After todays visit the Doc seems to think I have a torn meniscus on the inside of my right knee. Getting MRI scheduled to see exactly whats up.

So has anyone here had surgery for this and how was the recovery? Is your knee fully funtional again?

Yep, just had Meniscus surgery (hardly surgery BTW) in Feb. Down time is about ... hmm... it's not long. Maybe 2 weeks? But I was using mine on day 2. I also had ankle surgery at the same time on the opposite leg, so I'm not sure I'm a good example because I couldn't use the ankle at all, so I had to use my other leg (the knee leg). Anyway, meniscus surgery is cake. I have 2 little scars about 1/8" long on both sides of the knee. the toughest part about the surgery is just getting those little holes to heal. And that's not a big deal at all.

So the short to all my babbling is it's cake.

I'm sure getting everything fixed will help you out at the ol' dojo, M-dub. Hopefully it will be as quick a recovery on the knee as Woody's was.
