I had them in both legs after doing a 1-1/2 mile timed run for a final exam in college without stretching or warming up.. Ended up on crutches for a week. NSAIDS and ibuprophen and rest. Do strengthening exercises to help prevent them in the future. The fascia is torn loose from the attachment along the bone in the lower leg. And yes they hurt like the dickens.

Thanks for the tips. With boot just a few months away, I'm trying to prep myself as best as possible, but this definitely puts a damper on it. Ran 4 miles the other day, and was fine during the run but when we stopped to do some drills, I could hardly stand. I think I'll take a break from the running for a week or 2 and start doing some laps in the pool..

Get the legs healed up and strengthen them for P.I. you will make it through this and go on to great things.

Well every now and then ya can feel some pain flare up but for the most part they're good to . Took off for about 3 weeks and then went to the gym and got on a treadmill opposed to concrete. Seems to be working
