Default ruptured spleen.

January 22, day after my birthday, I was riding and got a sharp ache in my side. after a week of dealing with it i went to the doctor. They found it was my spleen bleeding internally. I guess i had mono so it swelled up and the riding bumped it around enough to rupture. Now however the sideache has gone away and im feeling good. Im going to invest in a kidney built but its driving me nuts not being on my bike. everyone is telling me to wait a few more weeks. Would it be a bad idea to slowly get back into it?

thanx for any help,
irv

Think you could ride slow? Wait and heal up. Waiting is always the hard part, but you are only human.

i agree with mom, i would wait to get healed up. it will be well worth it when you can get on a go full bore. if you ride now, being a guy thing, you would probably let loose to early i know i would.

Yea you have to be careful with the spleen, if you rupture it to bad you can bleed out in a matter of hours. Let it heal completely, it will be well worth it, its never any fun to have an injury that just haunts you and never lets you back completely
