OT: All you guys over 40

I had my physical a couple weeks ago. I hadn't had one in a couple years because I felt fine and didn't believe I needed one. My blood work returned with very good levels in all but 2 catagories. One of the catagories was alarmingly low and well below the lowest it should have been. Nothing serious but it was a shocker to me because I stay active and am relatively healthy.

Just a reminder to all guys (and chicks too I guess) over 40, if you are not current, schedule yourself for a physical. It's like preventive maintence for your body.

You still havent gotten those declining testosterone levels under control?! Seriously, hope everything turns out well for you. You make a great point about yearly maintenance above 40. I would also recommend a heart scan and complete blood work in addition to the standard tests. If not every year, def every other. Sometimes it seems as if we take care of our bikes better than we take care of our bodies...and anyone that knows me knows how well I dont take care of my bike!

Excellent advice! Is it treatable with meds or did he give the ol "lose 10lbs and you should be fine scenario"?


Speaking of Heart Scans~I just turned 40 and had my first one a couple of weeks ago. That is AMAZING TECHNOLOGY!

I get one every year and yes, it's a great idea to do this even if you feel fine.

Can't wait until the next colonoscopy... :eyeroll
