I think I have a case of tennis elbow. It seems to be more the muscle than the tendon connection. Has anyone had this? It hurts after a ride then stops, usually the next day. I do not want to hinder my riding and I dont think the doctor will help. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, ---Mike

Mike, I have the same condition. Mine developed from pitching for many many years, along with tennis for 15 years. I played on a mens softball rec team last Fall and my injury resurfaced, so I went to my chiropractor to have it looked at. I have never experienced the pain after riding, but I can tell you what the Doc told me to do when it flares up. Go to a chiroprctors office and get this gel they sell called BioFreeze. It is basically like an icy-hot gel. Rub that on around your elbow and down the inner and outer muscles in your forearm. Take one of those back massage tools, like you find at Bath & Body Works, and do a deep penetration muscle massage with it, starting at your elbow working your way down to your wrist. This does a great job in loosening up the tendons around your elbow, and does wonders for the muscles in your forearms. It's always good to get YOUR doctor's opinion on it, but that is what mine told ME to do. G'luck

Thanks for the info! I will go to the Doc if it keeps up. I rode about 20 miles of harescramble practice yesterday. Came home and it was a real dull ache that was very uncomfortable. I rubbed it deeply and it helped alot. It hurt all day at work. I have a tennis elbow strap I am going to wear at work tomorrow. It takes the pain right away. I found a website that has exercises that are supposed to help. I think mine is mild enough I can get some work going on it. I have races coming up and I do not want to keep re injuring it. One more week and if it is not better it is off to the doctor. ---Mike
