i do the same thing as someone mentioned, at the gym there is a 2" diameter pvc pipe with a 6 foot rope tied to it and a ten pound weight on the end. you start out by holding it as high as you can. then as you roll it up keep your arms straight out. then you let it down. don't just let it right down, resist on your way down. also doing leg workouts has helped me out alot. i do leg curls, squats, presses, lunges, and heel raises. this really helps me hold on more with my legs and not as much with my arm. plus benchpressing and working on my lats has helped me use more upper body chest and back and not trying to push so hard with my arms.

This is about the only exercise, besides actually riding, that helps me with arm pump, works like a charm.

stretch your forearms before you ride. The whole way to a track i do this.
Hold your hand in front of you like you are telling someone to stop. With your other hand push your fingers back towards your body. Hold it until it feels stretched and then swith hands. Also flop your lower arms around for a few minutes to stretch them out and get the blood flowing. Looks goofy but it helps
