 Broke Heel and Big Toe...When Can I Ride? A couple weeks ago I broke my foot; heel and big toe flat footing a gap jump. I fell about 15' and knew right away I messed myself up. For the first few days I couldn't even put my foot on the ground, needed crutches bad. A week after that I could move around with just the walking cast. Now I can walk around without the cast, albeit in some pain. The orthopedic doctor said I can't, or should't ride until 7 weeks after the injury, which tecnically would be May 29th. Does that sound right? I not a nancy by any means, and I want to ride on Memorial Day at the track and practice again on Thursday before the June 1st race. Would that be overdoing it? Or should I just wait until June 1st for the race for my first real ride? Anyone that had a similar experience and can share thier experience would be appreciated. Thanks.  |
