Can your body weight affect your riding? The reason I ask this, I weight 120 pounds (54Kg’s). I’m 21 and I ride a Honda CRF 250. I eat lots and I can’t seem to put any weight on. Has anyone had the same problem as me or can anyone give me some good advice?

body weight can effect ur riding, but if u get to know how to control your bikes power then it doesnt matter what weight u are. I've seen a little kid, like 100 lbs on a YFZ 450 that was running on alky, and he could race that thing like no other!! high metabolism. i have the same problem. lol, i never am able to gain any weight (15 yrs old, 135 lbs). but start lifting, build muscle. i was about 120 lbs my freshman year, first simester, and then once second came around i had PE/Weight Lifting, and i eventually started to build up weight, up to 135 at the end. and i haven't changed since then cuz i haven't really had PE/Weight Lifting since then (simesters just changed again so next week ill have that class for the rest of the simester). so if u dont already, run, lift, do squats. that's the only advice i really have. goodluck!

You didn't say how tall you are but I'm thinking 120 is OK. If you eat sensibly and exercise, you should be good. We are all made differently. The lighter riders actually have an advantage.

I can't imagine Ricky or Bubba are much more than 140 lbs. or so and they seem to be doing fine.

Well, at your weight, I have no clue why you would want to put on more pounds. Ryan Villopoto weighs less than 140 lbs in full riding gear, and look how fast he goes (helps that he's pro though lol)

Think of it this way, If you were to get your suspension all set up for you, and you have lots of riding experience, You could get the hole shot easy against all the old farts!
