Default What to look for in a Dig Camera?

Looking for a Digital Camera mostly for moto photos but will do home stuff too. I have an SLR now and I really like manual settings, I need something that is quick.

Thanks any suggestions or good cameras to look at?

Might help if you can give us a price range as that'll really determine which cameras you want to look at.

Also, what kind of SLR are you currently using? It's possible that your lenses would be compatible with one of the digital slr's?

i would recomned that one then use about 200 more dollars to buy memorey sticks and you got a perfect camera for 600 my sister bought it about 3 months ago and it cost 500 dollars then so your saving a hundred but she still absolutly loves and she prints her photos with the hp photo printer, i know its no were nere 1000 but i think its amazing for the quality and price, and you save alot of money i think that you probably wouldent like it because your looking at 1000 dollar models sorry if i wasted your time but i realy like that camera

If your looking for a good ameture level D-SLR for a good price, get an Olympus E-300...they are a great D-SLR for the price. I even have some sample pics I took with it here in the forums somewhere. You can prolly pick one up on E-bay for like $700 with a kit lense. However, like most D-SLR's that come with a kit lense, the lenses are usually only around 50mm... so you will probably also want to buy the 40-150mm Olympus lens ($200-$260), unless you are able to stand like 15 feet from moving bikes.

Another popular comparable 8mp DSLR would be the Canon 350D. I haven't used one personally, but it is about the same E-300. I heard some people say they like the 350D better, and I heard some people say they like the E-300 better...so either one would be good.
