I just don't see any need for that on a Beg/Nov loop. The waiting line was looooooooong!!

ETA: I watched it again and realized those were yellow and red plates. I sure don't miss the thrashing my bikes took in the dez!!

Agreed.

I just ran an XC event last Sunday. Two of the climbs were nothing but rocks. I have no cluse how some of the begin riders made it up that stuff. Major carnage everywhere I looked.

Heck, that looks easy and fun. Looks like alot of the trails around here...........other than not being in the middle of trees.

Maybe it is because I'm a bit older now but when I raced the dez we didn't have anything like that in our races. That is enduro kinda stuff there. I just don't have any desire to have to ride in areas where I need a skid plate that could also serve as protection for a Sherman tank.

That was the ammie/expert loop. The Beg/nov line did a different loop. The club is an enduro club so most people knew was to be expected.

Looks like a typical Idaho rock garden to me!

I loved it when the one dude realized how unnecessary it was to restart his bike and just rode it down with the clutch pulled in.
Would also love to see the PRO'S run through that same section. They have a way of keeping us humble.
