I hate to say anything. By no means am I an expert on suspension. But it looks like things aren't set up just right for you. I'm thinking you need a more neutral body position on take off or a different set up on suspension.
BTW, I can't remember if your big crash was an endo or not. Maybe you have purposefully set your suspension up to keep the front end high.

Having said all that, Kudos to you for gettin' out there and goin' for it again.
Just keep the wife informed if you want to keep her.

I can't blame you either. Just keep at it so you can get the comfort level back up there where it needs to be.

ha ha, and I wonder why... After your crash, I might hang up riding. So wanting the front a little high seems very normal for the time being. As I've said in the past, all that means is you have to practice more I'm not seeing a downside to that.

Good to see back on the track again. At least you have gone that far. I have yet to ride (other than my street bike) since my accident.

6 months ago I crashed really hard at speed (guessing around 55-60) and walked away from it. I rode 10 miles back to the pits in 2nd gear shaking cause I couldn't remember ANYTHING about the crash. I'm just now getting back up to speed and placing better in the results column. The point is, come back slowly and build your confidence. I remember watching your crash on video and I literally had to turn my head. You'll get your jumping, brake and throttle control back but you have to be patient. The worst thing you can do is rush it and get hurt again. Kinda like take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.

Look at minute 1:19'sh. the form looks pretty darn good tom me....then again, I race desert so I'm not the best advice giver. Even with a 50 yard notice I screw my corners up and anything more then 3 feet of air I panic or wad up. Keep up the good work.

Looking good. At the beginning, your throttle control reminded me of my nephew...on/off, on/off. He would have problems with consistency off the lip of the jumps. By the end of the video you were looking and sounding much more controlled. I know the feeling of trying to get back into the saddle. I am about to get back into it after over a year off..back to the basics. I will do my best to keep both wheels on the ground for awhile. I feel like I need to get my corners and feel comfortable at speed before air'n out. I had my suspension revalved and adjusted for weight/ability, and I am excited about that, being that previously I had only adjusted my bike to race sag. Good luck and stay safe, it is only fun when you can load up at the end of the day and look forward to the next ride.

Yeah, I try to do all my jumping when I first get there and end the day with trail riding.

I'm trying to work on my cornering, but the track is so slippery and dusty, I'm just scared to take to fast.

I dunno Drew, after an injury like yours, I'd be skeered to ever leave the ground again.

You look like you're getting around the track pretty good. It's been my experience that it just takes time to get comfortable again. Like others have said, don't rush it, you'll know when it's time to start huckin' it again. Seat time is your friend.

It's REALLY good to see you back on the bike again...and gating up too!

All i can say is Drew when your ready to go for it, don't back off on the up ramp, or it's constant power till the back wheel leaves the ground, start on a table top or even better i got my kids jumping going accross the jump, using the sides as up and down ramps. Less hesitation for throttle issues. good luck

Thanks, I'm getting there slowly, Having Kevin down here helped a lot too.

He pointed out all the bad habbits I have, I use to blip the throttle off the lip prior to that.

I hope you guys in Texas meet Kevin soon, he's a really great guy

He's just moved into his Huston house and is racing in Amirrilo this weekend.
