Thanks and yes, it backfires a decel, I think I need to go up one on the main.

try using your inner leg on the direction your whipping to move the bike around more. At least that's how I do it on a bicycle...

Thanks, I'll try that, It really felt like I was getting more sideways, it must feel pretty crazy doing a real whip

Actually it would be the lean pilot causing the backfiring. Try richening the fuel screw first. If you get to 3 turns out and it is still doing it you'll need to go up to the next size pilot jet.
