You have to be smarter then the rocks. I learned my lesson on running a standard tube in a race....HD tubes from now on!

Kevin, time you and Tracy came on over for some R and R ! The Finke desert race is just what you need to unwind. smack bang in the middle of Aus, the only place on earth where Dingoes take your babies and anything else in your tent You may have to duck the odd boomerang as well, but the race is a good one. One sand whoop section is over 30 mile long and if your bike can't do well over 100 mph you won't win it Our bike dealer/ sponsor rides a Yamaha with an unbelievable set up, the only thing left stock is the swing arm bearings. He finished 12th last year, the lead Yamaha bike so this year they gave him a fair bit of support with mods and parts, but normally Hondas fill the top 10 and the odd Ktm. He runs a 17 /42 sprocket set up here's a link to the event

Man, thats a scary moment in life. Poor guy. he was racing the "M" class which is 50+ when he hit a rock behind a bush on the bomb run...meaning he was haulin butt. Apparently he walked away on his own 2 feet. real lucky!

PJG, sounds like a blast....I'll tell ya what, you buy plane ticket, ship the bike, get the hotel and I'll buy ya lunch......

Sorry Kevie! but this is outback adventure, no Hyatt hotels here. Just your swag and a corked hat to keep the fly's of you and real bush tucker for lunch, so when you run over a goanna during the race, stop and put it in your back pack for later on Tell you what though we could cook him up on top of the rock and watch the sunset with a couple of coldies! Ah no wonder the locals call it the dreamtime

When I was a kid, my dad had alot of farm ground, we used to go wide open across the field after the crops where out. Me and a friend where wide open across the field and came over a hill tapped....we crested the hill and there was a washout on the otherside that was never there before about 5' wide and 4' deep.....it was a fun ride at 75-80mph.....I walked away too, but wasn't sure where I was for about a week. lol
