Thanks for the kind words all.. it's a great feeling to have the "last" piece of the puzzle solved.

It's officially on order as of now, Balance due.. $0. Total, 23,500 and change.. ooof.. but hell yeah.. saving MUCH coin on doing it myself and I get to use awesome materials. All high density composites, better glass material, carbon fiber in areas.. LOL.. money saved on labor, is going into better quality materials. And still saving a bundle.

The goal is that this boat hits the water by summer.. just in time for trawling season when the Marlin, and Tuna start running.

Did I mention....I'm jealous?

Looks like a great project....'cept for the glass work, I despise fiberglass. I dig the walk around bow though.

Curious what kind of fuel economy you're looking at? Did they say what your expected gph is?

low speed trawling.. 8kts or so.. 1gph or less.. WOT full boogie.. 9-10gph.. I will have twin 50 gallon tanks on board. GPH's are estimated at best, they have been doing better than estimated in "small" boats like mine.

Comparable V8 gas engine, trawling 2.5 - 4 gph, WOT ful boogie.. 25-35gph..

I talked to a guy today with a 20' SeaCraft that was buying a new prop for his D3-190 setup. He now has the steepest prop he can get on it. The second to largest wasn't pitched enough to hold the engine back. The light boats make it reeeeally easy for the lil diesel to spin big props up fast. Oh.. and with this engine package.. you can expect excellent wake boarding behind a deep vee, diesel powered, FISHING boat!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!! Talk about a wake producer! hehehehe

I wanna learn to wake board sometime. hehehe, 'till then.. tubes and knee boards are fine for me.

Default Picture Updates - todays transom scramble

Here is a shot of our last big haul trawling on Bryce's little, needs to be rebuilt boat. Two large Mahi and a couple Shibi got away. But we ate these!

Some purdy shots of it.. some day it will be BLANG BLANG..

And todays labor.. transom, transom, transom.. must.. finish.. transom!

That concludes todays update, I didn't get to spray the gelcoat today, I will try for it tommorow, but I think I need another layer of mat in the sterndrive hole, and have some more sanding and feathering to do.. ugh.. then I can coat it. Get it sealed up nice and start making marks for trim tabs, sterndrive, and swim deck. WOOHOO!
