Angry Need help with Manco ATV 90

I have great spark, good compression, clean air filter. I just rebuilt the carburetor ( because this thing sat for over a year) and had the bike running for maybe 2 hours. It shut off on me the first time bc the plug boot came off the wire. I fixed it and was on my my way. It shut off the second time and i havent been able to get it back running yet. Heres what i have done:
Checked and cleaned the reeds
checked and cleaned the air filter
checked both gas and oil filter
checked oil level in both 2 cycle oil tank and gear oil in transmission
checked all saftey switches ( that would prevent engine from running)

When the bike was running, it was running lean. now if i try to start the engine, it will crank after a few times and run for about a second (itll even cut off in mid rev if you give it gas when your starting it). If i take the plug out, its soaked with gas. It seems like its not getting enough air. I have taken the plug out and let the gas evaporate and adjusted the air/fuel needle a bit and tried again. Same response from no air to the needle about to fall out of the carb. It seems like there is something grounding or a kill switch turning the bike off. Im stumped and tired of charging the battery and even more tired of kicking this POS over time and time again. Any help would be VERY appreciated.

I didnt but the guy whom i purchased this from said he had recently been messing with it and put some gas in it. I ran it about 2 hours with waht was in there already and added fresh gas on top of the older stuff and it was running. I just dumped the tank and will be putting new stuff in there tomorrow. I hope the gas was just bad or had some crap in the lines or bottom of the tank. The filter is nice and clean and the carb was a little gunked up but not too bad. Keep the suggestions coming please, im tryin to go tear some dirt up, not sit here and try and figuire out why this POS aint running! Thanks in advance!

turns out, the spark plug that is ini it is the wrong one. I ordered the right one. I dumped the gas tank and put some starting fluid in the bike, but still wont start. Maybe the right plug will make a difference but i doubt it.

drained the tank, fresh gas, and new proper plug. Fired on first kick ( well second with a lil throttle) ran it about 30 minutes , started it a few different times while i was adjusting air/fuel settings and idle. I was about to take it through my gates ( i had the brake engaged and it was idling) and it shut off, 10 kicks later and it still didnt start. i took the plug out and it looks to be running a lil lean but sont see any reason for it not to run. Maybe running lean is making it run hotter than it should and some sort of overheat protect maybe turning it off?
Gimme some ideas plaeas

Found the issue. The reeds were worn out and wouldnt close all the way. I bent them in so they closed properly. I got 4 fun days out of it before it quit running again. Took it back apart, looked at the reeds and they wouldnt close again, tryed to bend them back again but they started to tear. Im trying to find a set to replace them here localy but cant seem to find any. Looks like ill have to order them.
