Default Hensim ATV's, Good, bad??

Does anyone own one of these Hensim ATV's? They are an american company with a factory in China. I want to get a small ATV for my kid and these are cheap. I was wondering if they are total crap or not..

I had a horrible experience with the Chinese made ATV I bought for my kids. One of the worst purchases I've made. If I were you I would buy a good used Suzuki 80 or Honda 90 they hold their value, you can get parts for them and they are reliable.

This question has been brought up on several occassions and I happen to agree with you. He'd be much better off saving up for the extra money. It will pay off in the long run. If you are skeptical about buying a new one, think how skeptical people will be buying a used one. You'll never get anything back for it when your child outgrows it.

This Hensim brand looks like a small step up from the generic crap Chinese ones although hard to say for sure. I will keep looking for a known brand.

Smart choice, I believe. Besides, how horrible would it be for your child to not be able to ride for a month because daddy's waiting for parts from the land of the rising sun? Explain that one daddy! LOL

If I listed all the problems I've had with mine in the 1 1/2 yrs I owned it you would be shocked. I sadly paid $1400 for it (110cc) put hours worth of my labor and alot of parts into it and sold it for $250. I've talked to a lot of people who have bought Chinese made quads of various brands and they've had the same experience. I have found that people who have bought Taiwanese manufactured quads have had better luck.

Our '86 Honda 200SX has been a wayyy better quad than the 110 and we only paid $900 for it 4 yrs ago. Just change the oil every now and then and it's good to go. If I had the desire to sell the 200SX today I could get back what I paid for it.

Sorry, you got me on my soap box.
