![]() 6-28-03...... I get to ride MX Sunday. The ankle is about 90%. This will be my first real ride with the 450F cam. I will report on how it does! Brent Well I will be watching from the sidelines for the next 6 weeks. I broke my left ankle Tuesday night at our local night track. I had sprained it in a crash the Tuesday before and did not go to the doctor. This Tuesday I over jumped a double and landed really hard..."SNAP" goes the left ankle!! The ER doctor said it was most likely fractured from the week before and I did not know it. Anyway, does anyone have MX boot advice? LOL |

![]() Sorry to hear about your grounding! There is a company that makes roadracing boots called "Frey". They actually have a hinged carbon fiber ankle joint and guard. Never checked to see if they make anything for Mx though. Good Luck and wishing you a fast recovery. Now comes the hot weather riding anyway. Spring was so nice! |

![]() Satch, I am sorry to hear about your ankle. I am praying for your recovery to be quick and complete so you can get back out thete to do what we all love best. As to the boots, I spent the extra money to buy Alpinestar Tech * boots. I have had some scarry crashes lately and my ankles came out unscathed. the Sidi Force boots are supposedly really good also. ![]() I hope you get better soon. As for boots, I don't think I'm going to buy Tech 8's again either. I like bates, like the oxtar's and will probably make them my next purchase. |

![]() Speaking from experience. It sucks watching from the side lines, but that's the only way it's going to heal. Be thankful that you had all that riding before and that you'll be back in the saddle soon. |

![]() I think u shouldn't go for the 6h packs just yet...of course u should continue riding but wait until ur ankle has heeled 100% or u'll be screwed nxt time u crash on it......one of mine and my brothers friends has broken 3 bones riding and had a few medal instruments inside him and has only been riding for about a yr. and a 1/2 just by coming in the turn to hard, riding above his abilities, and trying to clear Kong (the biggest jump at the track). I live in Kauai so we mostly ride trails alot.... Congrats on getting to ride dat 450F sounds killa.......Peace out |
