Default Yz 125 Compression clickers won't stop

I have a 01 YZ 125 and was messing with the clickers (Compression clickers) recently and when I was trying to adjust the clicker to harden them more and they just POPPED. They were inside the hole more before I messed with it and now they are flush with the top. Now they won't harden anymore because when I keep turning it clockwise it keeps clicking a clicking. It won't stop. However when I go counter clockwise they stop at around 20 or 22 and I feel some noticeable resistance. What I need to know is did I break something and if so how do I fix it???
