Default Triple clamps?

Has anyone used the RG3 GenII top triple clamp? I am thinking of purchasing one in an attempt to help combat arm pump because the clamp has rubber bar mounts. If anyone has used this clamp please let me know your thoughts. Thanks

I havent so I cant give my opinion on the product but can give you an excellant suggestion for your applicaton

The bars are great, you will not believe the comfort these bars give. My friend Jiffy, has a Pro Circuit Works bike with these bars on it. So with the combination of the Pro Circuit forks and these bars you would not believe the difference of a stock bike.

The only fault I found at the very beginning was feedback or lack thereof. The bars offer no vibration what so ever so it takes a while to get use to the feed back.

I would go ahead and buy these but you need oversize mounts so, I have these bars on my list next, when I get my forks seent off to Pro Circuit for a "works" rebuild, and my new mounts.

So check these out and let me know what you think

The RG3 clamps are next on my list after new rims laced up. They are sweet. Those Fasstco bars are UGLY!! I wouldnt be caught with them on my bike!

One way to combat arm pump is to stretch your forearms and properly hydrate 24hrs before you ride. No gimmick will stop arm pump.

Brcrk, Id be willing to bet if your buddy has works suspension from PC, that is the reason his bike feels soooo good. Any bar would feel great above those forks.

yes they are ugly, but they feel good.

Yes the Susp does have alot to do with it, but any idiot can tell the difference between bike feedback and bike vibration

I could care less what they look like I dont go to the track to win beauty contest like some folks I know. I go to ride the best I can and try to be the fastest or at least faster than the time out before. I dont care what a product looks like to some extent as long it helps improve my riding ability.

So I would take it from your comment you had rather look good than ride good ..huh?

I already ride good and have for many many years. Those bars are lame and I simply dont need some ugly *** bar to make me think Im faster. I can walk the walk.

Well to the best of my knowledge the bars will not make you any faster…I don’t think that is the reason people take of their stock 7/8’s and put on triple clamps and bars. It is for strength, feedback, and stability.

Maybe one day you will understand this aint a fashion show. I agree it is nice to have a great looking bike, I wash mine once a week. But I could care less what my set of handle bars look like if they are going to make my ride more enjoyable.

And by the way, the people at RG3, did your notice, FASSTCO is their sponsor…so they must think pretty highly of the bars.

If you haven’t tried it, don’t knock it

No, but there is a lot you can do to reduce it. Like Bike/bar setup, anti-vibration mounts and bars, the right dia. grips for your hands, the correct width bars for your body size, proper riding technique, etc..All these things are a factor but all can contribute in reducing the pump.

Dont assume that you know what I think about anything. Just cause I dont want some goofy looking bar on my bike, doesnt insinuate that I would rather be in a fashion show with my bike. You and your added graphics and washing your bike every week may be more inclined to think that way. Also, your ability is questionable if you think a bar is gonna help you resolve improper technique and preparation. At the level I ride, the bar is not an issue. Get your Fasstco bars though, I hope they will help you. Im done with you. Save your sticks for someone else, I never said squat about you, yet you ramble like a little girl about something stupid. Get over it.

LOL...you are a hoot....do you realize all thru this post you have constantly refered to the bars as ugly, goofy...so I must say my lad, you are more concerned what they LOOK like on the bike instead of how they perform.

You just told on yourself. Any Pro, A or B class rider would welcome ANYTHING onto their bike to increase lap times. And what level might you ride, 16 year old "C" class? Because I will tell you son, if you werent so concerned about looks you would invite any product that would make your lap times more enjoyable, and if your laps are more enjoyable they will be quicker.
