Default OUCH! Now what?

I pulled the swing arm off my sons new 06 CR85. After greasing it I was tightening the lower shock mount bolt and stripped the threads in the shock stem mount. ERRRRRR. Any ways I was wondering, do you think a helicoil would work in this situation or should I just drill the hole out and put a nut and bolt through it? I don't wee why this wouldn't work. Please help me out.

I'm not completely sure what part of it, but it sounds like their were threads in the shock its self? Correct? If that's the case I'd just drill it out a tad and use new nut and bolt and call it good.
