Default Most common way to lower suspension

I bought a CR125 with lowered suspension and want to raise it back up...

What is the most common way people lower the front fork? Mine looks to be lowered about 5 1/2"

What is the most common way people lower the rear suspension?

Thanks

I know car suspension more than bikes, but I'd guess they used a shorter set of springs.

shorter springs, and an internal top out spacer. The forks and shock will both have to be taken apart to remove the spacers.

How hard is it to take apart the forks and shock? Is it something anyone can do with a bit of organization, time, and patience?

Anyone who is mechanically inclined can probably do it, you just need alot of patience, a good, clean shop with a parts washer, and about $100 worth of specialty tools. Also a good source of compressed air and a blow gun, impact wrench will make things much easier.

I recommend the race tech videos for learning how to do it yourself.

Is it possible someone may have simply replaced links in the rear and slipped the forks in the clamps?

This can be done to lower the bike some, but your not really lowering the suspenion. And if you look at how much suspension loss he is talking about, (almost 6 inches) you can not obtain that from different suspension links and dropping your forks in the triples.

just curios but if you lowered the forks by moving it up in the triple clamps, wouldn't that affect the rake and in turn the over all handling of the bike

yes it would, it would make the head tube angle smaller.... which would make the bike steer quicker/ faster

but make it less comfortable at higher speeds
