Are you talking adjuster setting or the internal settings

atreyu,

I would check your manual for these settings. But to be frank I see these bikes come in from the factory with all different settings . One fork might be at 12 the other at 8 so I usually start in the middle of the adjustment range. To acomplish this, turn your adjuster in clockwise till you get to the last click. Be sure not force it to the next click. Now go counterclockwise slowly and count the number of clicks till you reach the last click ( once again do not force it) What I usually do, is start in the middle of that range, and work from there ( Say 24 clicks I would start at 12) you get the idea. right down these settings go ride them make the adjustments accordingly. Hope this helps

well, my main concern is my little brother used my bike and he tinkered with all the settings and he "supposedly" wrote everything down but he "supposedly" lost the paper. i was going to set it up as factory again and tune it from there. also, my MAIN concern is he adjusted the rebound settings and the high speed settings. i can probably figure out the low speed settings on the forks. but on the coilover it has the high speed adjustment, i dont even know where to begin. any other ideas?

High speed adjuster- set it at 1 3/4 to 2 turns out from all the way in for MX . I would set all the other setting in the middle that will put you close to stock.

uh, penis...,

im kinda freaked out by your name...but i know how it feels to be flamed so i wont go there...

ANYWAY, about your suspension ( i dot know jack s#it about suspension, by the way ) if you want to set it back to its stock settings, refer to your manual or go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] where you can look at tech stuff or it lets you read an online owners manual specified for your year/model of bike if you dont have your own manual...

well hope this helps

p.s. also try a google on yamaha yz 85 compression and fork adjustment if you havent already

i looked on the yamaha website and it said that for this year of bike the online catalog is unavailable. the name "penis" is a nickname that was given to me by some close friends. they said that when i was hitting the whoops at the top of 4th that my head looked like a bobbleing penis. it just stuck after that.
