91 kx 250-suspension to soft

I am riding a 91 kx 250 , mostly motocross and My forks are just to soft. I installed race tech .44kgm fork springs and replaced all the bushing in the forks. My compession clickers are 5 clicks out and the forks are still to soft. I am 5'10" /185. Do I need stiffer springs or will adjusting the oil height help. Oil height is set to stock settings. (100mm). Shock is also soft but going to get a heavier spring/rebuild soon. I went with the fork spring weight recommended by race techs website for a beginner mxer. I have rode for almost 20 yrs, just trails and raced hare scrambles , not mx. Any help would be appreciated.

You should exhaust your "free/cheap" options first. So, yes... try raising oil height to 85mm. Your spring rate is fine .44kg.

YOu could have such an instance where debris has wedged in the valving making it feel excessively soft etc. It could be any number of things. This is where professional experience comes in lots of times. Those that know what to look for can often solve your problems cheap. On the other hand. those bikes were notoriously soft as I recall and a revalve was often very beneficial too.
