Default 2001 RM 125 Fork Rebuild HELP

So i've rebuilt forks on a 01 yamaha and an 01 ktm but i've got some questions about these showas

1. Is the inner chamber sealed unless I open it? I'm confused on how to get the correct amount of fluid in the fork. Also, where can I find the correct volume needed for these forks and what does that volume mean in relation to the dual chambers.

2. Will other 47mm showa springs work in these forks? specifically, will springs from a 2005 crf250 work in these forks? The part numbers at racetech are different (4349 for the honda and 4348 for the suzuki).

ANY HELP will be greatly apreciated

-Marc

Yes it is sealed unless you open it.

The inner chamber takes a certain amount that you don't need to measure, you fill it to the top, then you install the valving and bleed the rest off.

The amount of oil you put in the outer chamber has nothing to do with the inner. I have no idea what the spec for the suzuki is, but honda showas range from about 320-400 cc's, with stock being around 370-380cc's.

I don't know if they will or not, but from the look of the numbers on them I would say the only difference might be the spring rate (.48 vs .49), but without looking up the numbers I can't be for sure. I'm sure a quick call to race-tech should answer the question though.
