I have always started at the stock settings and adjusted from there. I also set my sag at 95mm instead of 100. If your fork springs are soft you may want to slide the forks down in the clamps.

not a suspension expert but..... if your front spring is way to soft then i don think you'll ever get it right. You might get it close but you'll allways be just a bit off. Also I asked the same thing awhile ago for my new bike i think the best advice was adjust by 4's. Its alot easier to notice a differance when you go by 4 clicks instead of 2 when it came to the high speed compersion i went with a half turns then back in with 1/4 turns. What i did was spend a day really dedicated to finding the settings i liked the best. I picked out a few spots on the track and went through them over and over adjusting by 4. When things got why out of specs then i would go backwards by 2 to fine tune it. MAKE SURE TO WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING YOU DO!!!!! very important. It took me the whole day to get it all set up. I brought with me some print outs of suspension setting articles on what to look for and how your suspension should act in certain situations. Ill try to find it again and post it here for you when i do. good luck ---------- Post added at 09:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:13 AM ---------- as promised here is the link i got most of my info from: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] the next 2 is a 2 part series part 1: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] part 2: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Last edited by Duran676; 10-18-2009 at 11:32 AM.

I have never been able to make one setting work for every track I ride on. Each track has its own nneds and I adjust accordingly.
