Default Cutting and Applying number plate backgrounds

I didn't bother to buy the precut ones. The sheets of backgrounds and the numbers weren't very expensive at all. I watched a few YT videos about applying graphics then went at it.

Here's what I did:

Number Plate:

Nice job. you make cutting the backgrounds look a lot easier than I think it is.

I have to admit, it does look really good though, and I was glad to see you break out the ruler on the side plate. I thought they were too far apart too.

Again, nice job

I am waiting for a set of new sidepanels from Maier for my 85 CR, and the precut backgrounds seem to be NLA. I'm pretty skeptical about cutting them ON the panel itself, won't look so great if you have to replace the background. I don't know what to do......

If I had to do it again. I'd get these.

ECONOMY SERIES

I spent $12 on the backgrounds, and 3 packs of numbers for $3 each.

the soapy water, is that so you can move the sticker around before it really gets stuck and the hair dryer to glue it down properly?

Yep, the water give you a little time to reposition. But also, the heat softens the vinyl so it forms smoothly over the plastic which isn't flat.
